Gloria McLean, choreographer/dancer/teacher is the director of LIFEDANCE STUDIO in NYC and Andes, New York. LIFEDANCE offers a holistic approach to dance, a unity of art and life, and a preference for a theatre of immediate experience. Ms. McLean first came to critical acclaim as a leading dancer with the Erick Hawkins Dance Company where she danced major roles, toured internationally and taught at the Hawkins School. After leaving Hawkins’ company, with LIFEDANCE, she has  performed and choreographed in New York and internationally, called by Jennifer Dunning of the New York Times “…an intelligent, witty, and sensuous choreographic voice.” Known as a master teacher, she served as Professor of Modern Dance at Keimyung University in Daegu, SK (2009-2011);  Henry-Bascom Visiting Professor at UW/Madison (2000); George Washington University (1997 and 2000); residencies at Manhattanville College, American University, Hofstra, University of Texas/Denton and Pan American, and others.
